This software package was developed in the context of the research project MOBINET. TrafficVision is implemen-ted in the Traffic Control Centre Munich-Freimann and is used for the controlling of the indications of the demonstrators NetzInfo, Alternative Route Control Eschenried and incident management Petueltunnel which fall under the authority of the Motorway Authority of South Bavaria.

TrafficVision is connected to a heterogeneous system environment with different sub-control centres of the existing Traffic Control Systems, a TrafficEye Centre as well as the Urban Traffic Centre as data sources. The sub-control centres and the Urban Traffic Centre are also linked up as data recipients.

The Regional Network Control Munich (SGM) examines the network control by means of substitutive VMS situated on the motorways and major roads in the conurbation of Munich.

The Regional Network Control Munich is an advanced development of the software TrafficVision which was extended to utilise the data-distributor of the federal software VRZ. The SGM represents a central application in the sense of the MARZ and thus is superordinated to the existing sub-control centres in the Traffic Control Centre Munich-Freimann.
