TRANSQEST is a very flexible and broadly applicable software module, patented by TRANSVER, which contains a procedure for the recognition of traffic conditions and in particular the tailback at traffic lights. For the first time the existing detectors at traffic lights which are located close to the stop line can be used by TRANSQEST for the exact estimation of substantial characteristics of the traffic flow and the traffic quality. As a result the expensive installation of additional detectors in urban road systems for the estimation of the traffic condition has become obsolete in many cases.

The software module TRANSQEST can be easily integrated into any traffic control system - local control devices, area stations or traffic centres - due to it’s totally capsular functionality and it’s simple interfaces.

TRANSQEST is a module for the recognition of traffic conditions in BALANCE, the adaptive traffic signal control of TRANSVER. With BALANCE-LOCAL the control can be optimised traffic-dependently at individual crossings. BALANCE-NET enables the optimisation of the common control of several crossings in urban sub-networks.
